The picture got colored by paints for silk after it had been embroidered. All pictures are carefully embroidered by hand using satin and synthetic silk ribbons. I always start off with white ribbons and color them as I go with professional, non-toxic fabric dyes. PDF – Embroidered Country Garden Needlecase
UPDATED JANUARY 2018 The PDF pattern contains a full set of embroidery instructions, a stitch glossary, a number of colour photographs and details on how to stitch the case together. I have created this new design for the person who has some experience of embroidery. The idea behind the design is that each pers
on gets to create their own unique garden for their needlecase. A basic design is traced onto the fabric as in picture 3. This is then added to from the design sheet supplied – the stitcher adds as many flowers as they would like to create their own garden. The design has been worked on a pure linen/cotton blend fabric, using perle No12 threads. Finished size of design: 3½” x 6” or 8 x 15cm(embroidered area) Finished size of needlecase: 5” x 6½” ( or as desired).
