Crazy stitches, patterns for embroidery

The bullion stitch is great for embroidering small and thin flower petals like for this clover flower. Use them for dandelions, dahlias, chrysanthemum or daisies! This embroidery stitch is a little bit fiddly to work with. Even I need to take a deep breath when the thread doesn’t want to let go of the needle when I want to pull it through (‘you shall not pass!’ – moments).

Using bullion stitches as petals – why not? This bullion stitch flower is a nice one to spread in between other flowers. Adapt it to your taste by adding more or fewer petals than shown in the picture or playing with stitch lengths and color. This flower embroidery might look plain and simple, but you can actually switch up things quite a bit to get some variation into it!
